10-Gigabit Ethernet Cables
We install advanced 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) networks. 10GbE is used for transmitting ethernet frames at a rate of 10 gigabits per second. Like previous versions of Ethernet, 10GbE supports both copper and fibre optic cabling. However, due to its higher bandwidth requirements higher-grade copper cables are required.
10GbE is all about affordable high-speed networking. With an ever-increasing number of data-intensive applications requiring network connectivity, the demand for bandwidth is increasing exponentially in the UK. For this reason, 10GbE is becoming more and more relevant to modern data networks.
Category 6a
The current mainstream standard for enhanced performance twisted pair cable systems is category 6a, sometimes referred to as augmented category 6. Category 6a performs at improved specifications, in particular in the area of alien crosstalk, as compared to category 6 UTP which exhibits high alien noise in high frequencies. Category 6a is defined at frequencies up to 500 MHz, twice that of standard category 6, making it a sound solution for future-proofing data networks.
Category 7
This Class F grade S/FTP cabling and its augmented superior, Category 7a are the highest specification solutions currently available. Not to be confused with SFTP cabling, whereby the cables and pairs are shielded & foiled, S/FTP cabling is comprised of foiled pairs and braided cables. Category 7 cable comes with a metal shielding that covers the group of shielded copper pairs and an additional layer of individual shielding for each twisted pair. Class F cables give networks the best possible protection from external interference and they eliminate all alien crosstalk. Category 7 cables will transmit data up to frequencies of 600 MHz & category 7a as much as 1000 MHz or 1 Gigahertz.
